  • The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation has announced The Emily Aig-Imoukhuede Memorial Endowment Fund, which will provide annual awards of N500,000 each to the top 43 performing civil servants in the country. The endowment fund is a memorial to the late Pastor Emily Aig-Imoukhuede, who served in various roles in the public service, reflecting the way her values and her life positively impacted the people and organisations she was involved with.

  • The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation in partnership with the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) holds a workshop with Federal Ministries on the Aig-Imoukhuede Public Sector Performance Index, which seeks to measure the impact of the public sector on the overall productivity and economic growth of the Nigerian economy and on the wellbeing of Nigerian citizens.

  • The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, invites applications for the seventh round of AIG Scholarships, which offers an exciting opportunity for exceptional Nigerians currently working in the Nigerian public sector to attend the University of Oxford for one year and undertake a Master’s in Public Policy degree.

  • Africa Initiative for Governance (AIG), a subsidiary of the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, today announced the recipients of its fully-funded scholarship programme to the University of Oxford. The 2021/2022 scholars represent the fifth cohort of AIG Scholars and will benefit from world-class training on public policy at the prestigious Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. Since 2017, AIG has awarded scholarships for a master’s degree in public policy at the Blavatnik School of Government to five outstanding West Africans from all backgrounds who are passionate about the public sector. Upon graduation, the AIG Scholars will return to their home country and apply their learning and experience for national development.

  • The Closing Ceremony of the AIG Public Leaders Programme Class of 2021 held on Wednesday, 2nd March 2022, at the Conference Hall, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, FCT, Abuja. The 2021 graduating class was made up of 49 exceptional public servants who were selected after a rigorous multistage process from across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, working in different government ministries, departments, and agencies. Each participant was awarded a scholarship worth £11,500 each by the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, to attend the programme delivered in partnership with the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford.

  • The Vice-Chair Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, Mrs Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede, delivered the keynote address at the 2021 ASCON Online Conference themed: “Repositioning organisations for effective performance in the ‘new normal.’” While speaking, Mrs Aig-Imoukhuede highlighted the need for the public sector to embrace digital innovation in the wake of changes the Covid-19 pandemic had brought to the way organisations are run. She explained the role the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation entities had been playing to support the public sector in their digitalisation and capacity building efforts. She stated that for organisations to successfully navigate the changing environment, they needed to be resilient, and she defined “organisational resilience'' as the ability of an organisation to anticipate, prepare for, respond, and adapt to implemental change and sudden disruption to survive and prosper.

  • Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede’s memoir, Leaving the Tarmac: Buying a Bank in Africa which was published in March 2021, quickly became a national bestseller, winning accolades, and rave reviews for its honest and inspirational account of how the author and his business partner acquired Access Bank and transformed it into one of Africa’s most successful banks. Now, its author, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, has donated all profits from sales of the book, through the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, to the Adopt-a-Healthcare Facility Programme, a drive led by the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria (PSHAN), to bring quality accessible primary healthcare to all Nigerians. With over 11,000 copies of Leaving the Tarmac sold since March, The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation handed over a cheque of fifty million naira (NGN50,000,000) to the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria (PHSAN) in a formal ceremony in Lagos on 29 October 2021. Representatives of the Foundation indicated that this was only the first payment, with more payments expected in the future.

  • The Aig-Imoukhuede Institute, a subsidiary of the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, today announced the selection of fifty high-potential men and women working in the Nigerian public service to participate in the inaugural AIG Public Leaders Programme, offered by the Aig-Imoukhuede Institute in partnership with the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford.
