Founder and Chairman of Africa Initiative for Governance (AIG), Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede was, on October 7, inducted into the prestigious American Academy of Arts and Sciences - one of the oldest learned societies and independent policy research centres in the United States of America.

Mr. Aig-Imoukhuede was one of 40 foreign honorary members inducted into the Academy. Other Nigerians inducted into the Academy were renowned author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Professor Attahiru Jega, former Executive Chairman of Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission and inaugural Africa Initiative for Governance (AIG) Fellow; and Professor Akin Ladipo Mabogunje, first African President of the International Geographical Union.

The Academy convenes leaders from the academic, business, and government sectors to address critical challenges facing our global society.
